What we expect from translators with industry knowledge
When completing our form, please note the following points:
- Training and experience: You are a trained translator or have completed a university degree. You also have several years of professional experience.
- Target language: Translingua only accepts your mother tongue as the target language.
- Source language(s): Please only list source languages of which you have acquired an excellent knowledge through training, tertiary education, professional experience, or long residence in the country in which the language is spoken.
- Specialist area: Please mark the most important specialist areas on the form. Additional information helps us to assess your skills properly.
- Availability: You can be reached by telephone during the working day and have a daily capacity of at least three pages.
- Infrastructure: You are equipped with a suitably powerful computer, internet access, MS Office and TM software.
- IT and MT skills: Please describe your knowledge and experience with machine pre-translation, post editing and the use of IT tools, if available.
