Translation Memory (TM)
A Translation Memory (TM) is a translation storage facility in a database-oriented system which stores segments of source text and equivalent target text, but without context provided by the source documents. TM systems are designed first and foremost to ensure consistent terminology and style. TM not only makes translation work easier, it also accelerates the process, leading to substantial cost reductions.
